The big subway sketch post

I sketch all the time in public transportation, but lately… it’s just gone bonkers. I have 3 hours of commute every day and that has skyrocketed my production. Also, it means that I haven’t had much time to edit and take care of more elaborate drawings lately.

To avoid repeating myself  to death by doing only portraits, I chose to pick up on patterns, fashion and body language of the other fellow commuters.  Also, make sure to draw different body types, not just the ones I found attractive.

Another thing that started to interest me was the relations between them:

In this one, there’s one that isn’t from the subway, but I won’t tell you which one.

And yes, I did do some portraits and caricatures. There’s lots of weirdos in the TTC (not counting the one drawing them, of course):

The Zoo!

I went to the zoo with some of my friends from Seneca to watch Pandas and draw and be bribed with coffee. It was fun! And here are the drawings I did (and no pictures of me scared of children and people wearing panda masks)

I would have included the names of the animals, but I’m almost illiterate in biology/zoology. Enjoy them nonetheless.

Last Keyhole Session: Fight Club

It’s been said that all good thing must come to an end, but this one actually caught me by surprise. TKS ended their Life Drawing sessions. But…

THEY ENDED WITH A BLAST!

The theme was Fight Club. Lots of models, bigger venue (Mod Club), amazing makeup for the wounds. It was fantastic. The Madame was cool as usual and the audience was great. There was drawing going on every corner and simultaneous models posing in both floors. It was fantastic.
